Welcome to the Colville River Watershed! We have put together information on this site to help promote water-resources education and sustainable resource development. The Colville River is one of the major river drainages on the North Slope of Alaska, which begins in the western Brooks Range and drains into the Arctic Ocean. This site is maintained by GW Scientific and partnering organizations to help increase public understanding of watershed issues and hydrology in the Colville Watershed. Increasing our understanding of watershed processes and collection of basic data is important for promoting sustainable resource development. Please let us know if you have any questions concerning hydrology in the Colville Watershed.
